Bitless Bridle - Bitless Bridle Associate Clinician

What is the role of a Bitless Bridle Associate Clinician (BBAC) ?

BBACs are individuals, appointed by Dr Cook, who are active horsemen and women and are regular users of the Bitless Bridle™.  Our first priority and motivation is to educate and enhance the welfare of the horse and rider.  We demonstrate a sound knowledge of the scientific foundation of the bridle and the rationale for removing the bit. We understand the concepts of the bridle so we are able to assist and advise with its fitting and usage.

"I had my first lesson at the age of 4, on a Shetland pony called Twinkle, and was 'bitten by the bug'.  Unfortunately my parents were not very keen on horses themselves, so my initial lessons were short lived.  Undaunted, and when old enough, I would find and use any opportunity to ride and look after ponies.  After A-levels I planned to take my BHS AI.  In order to gain some experience beforehand and to tone up my office bound muscles,  I obtained a position as a groom for a family who were very much into Hunting and Eventing.  Life was hard but I thoroughly enjoyed it. At that time I was very much 'Miss Conventional' regarding equitation and equine management.  Many years later something happened round about the time I became a pony owner and after I attended a demonstration by Monty Roberts.  My eyes were opened and I followed the bitless and barefoot trail. I am keen to help riders gain confidence and can offer and advice for most behavioural challenges"
